The unique taste of wild tea
LAO ANCIENT TEA PROCESSING FACTORY
“Bai Miang Ancient Lao Tea Factory was founded from a love for the traditional tea taste inherited from ancestors, through the meticulous selection of tea leaves and production using ancient methods that truly maintain quality.
The initiation of Bai Miang Ancient Lao Tea Factory began in 2021 and was successfully established in 2023 by a family with experience in the tea industry. It started with the pioneering conservation of the natural tea forest in Lak 2 Village, Chomphet District, Luang Prabang Province, which is a tea forest located at an altitude of 1,200 meters above sea level. With the abundance of the forest area that allows the wild tea trees to grow tall and large, some trees are estimated to be up to 1,000 years old.”

From wild to cup
The High wild tea “Gao Gan Tea” is native to Laos and can be found in forests with suitable climatic conditions at elevations of around 1200 meters above sea level, in the natural forest areas of Southeast Asia. In some regions of Laos, this tea variety is known as “Bai Miang” or “Miang Leaf.”
Tall wild tea is a perennial plant with a high, upright stem. It features long stems and large leaves compared to other tea varieties commonly grown in China. Some of these plants can reach heights of up to 30 meters.
Due to its rarity and distinctive characteristics, tall wild tea is consi-dered to be of high quality and is sought after by tea enthusiasts world-wide. It is especially popular in China, which is one of the world’s top tea markets.
